About the position

This role is part of the Fulfillment Engineering team and reports to the Director, Automation Engineering. The role is based in Bentonville, AR, and is expected to travel 25-50% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret information to quantify the anticipated outcome of supply chain decisions.
  • Explain operational functions and key functional roles.
  • Describe the concepts behind engineering economics and implications of financial data.
  • Plan and estimate simple projects under guidance and produce standard project status reports.
  • Define the critical workflow for executing key processes and identify process problems.
  • Promote the usage of automation machineries and conduct cost-benefit analyses.
  • Combine knowledge of automation/system design into a roadmap for integration.
  • Create views of objects in 2 and 3 dimensions and participate in projects modifying existing systems.
  • Leverage data analysis tools to explore moderately complex data.
  • Apply data analysis and data modeling techniques to maintain data structures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field and 4 years' experience in Engineering, supply chain, or a related area, or 6 years' experience in Engineering, supply chain, or a related area.
  • 2 years' supervisory experience.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to influence effectively.
  • Demonstratable business acumen and ownership of project activity.
  • Ability to partner and collaborate while establishing credibility.

Nice-to-haves

  • Masters degree in Computer Engineering.
  • Experience in E-commerce process flow and lifecycle.
  • Technical background in Controls Automation, including Robotics, AR and VR.
  • Proven ability to take technologies from prototype to production.
