About the position

The Senior Manager, Benefits at Cornerstone OnDemand is responsible for overseeing the development and administration of benefits programs. This role involves conducting market research, ensuring compliance with regulations, managing vendor relationships, and educating employees about their benefits. The position requires a strategic approach to enhance benefits offerings and ensure they meet the needs of a diverse workforce across various regions.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research to identify issues with existing benefits packages and create programs to improve them.
  • Regularly review and benchmark benefits offerings for competitiveness and compliance with local regulations.
  • Prepare materials for US Investment Benefits Committee meetings as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with country legislation and employment laws, identifying improvement opportunities within existing plan designs.
  • Communicate benefits regulations and industry trends to the VP TR and team members.
  • Ensure timely vendor payments to benefits partners in compliance with contractual terms.
  • Evaluate, select, and manage relationships with benefits vendors and consultants.
  • Develop and execute communication strategies to educate employees about their benefits.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops to empower employees in making informed benefits decisions.
  • Build operational processes for benefits enrollments for customers.
  • Review and assess all programs for financial management, compliance, and effective delivery.
  • Develop reports on metrics and leverage data for data-driven decisions.
  • Disseminate information to VP TR regarding medical and other benefit claims management.
  • Provide feedback on internal systems and processes to improve operations.
  • Partner with total rewards team members on global benefits outside of the region.
  • Support M&A activity as needed.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in benefits program development and administration or a Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, or a related field.
  • Proven comprehensive understanding of US benefits and global benefits administration.
  • Experience with Leave of Absence, 401k, statutory benefits, and retirement schemes.
  • Experience developing and driving benefits automation processes.
  • Strong knowledge of cultural considerations, local legislation, and compliance in a large, complex organization.
  • Strong program and vendor performance management, cost benefit analysis, and budget management experience.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information and exercise sound judgment with professionalism.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state regulations and compliance requirements (e.g., ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA).
  • Proven analytic and business skills with the ability to perform mathematical calculations.
  • Results-driven with the ability to operate independently and proactively.
  • Excellent communication skills and professionalism.
