About the position

The Senior Manager - Brand Communication and Public Relations at Continental is a pivotal role within the Marketing team for the Business Area Replacement Tires in the Americas. This position is responsible for overseeing brand communication strategies, public relations, and marketing communication projects across North and South America. The role involves managing a team, developing communication materials, orchestrating digital marketing efforts, and providing counsel to executives on public relations matters. The Senior Manager will also handle crisis communication and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and coach a team of 2 direct reports.
  • Oversee all aspects of marketing communications, including digital marketing, public relations, and content creation for the Americas region.
  • Prepare communications materials such as press releases and reactive statements.
  • Develop and adapt global communication content for the Americas region.
  • Establish and maintain a network with journalists, associations, NGOs, and project partners.
  • Orchestrate and guide social media strategy for the Americas markets.
  • Steer and plan all internal communications, including newsletters and employee meetings.
  • Manage communication on product, compliance, and legal topics.
  • Provide communications counsel to executives on public relations matters.
  • Track and manage Marketing Communications budgets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, or a related discipline.
  • 10+ years of relevant Marketing professional experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in consumer marketing/communications.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in sponsorship, brand, social, and digital communication.
  • 3+ years of experience leading employees in marketing/communication functions.
  • Experience in a large corporate environment.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
