About the position

The Senior Manager, Brand Innovation at Liquid I.V. is responsible for managing and implementing the brand's portfolio strategy and innovation pipeline. This role involves developing strategic product concepts and championing them through the stage gate process to execution. The position requires collaboration with various departments to ensure product success from concept to commercialization, while also acting as the voice of the consumer and identifying new market opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and implement the Liquid I.V. portfolio strategy and innovation pipeline.
  • Develop strategic product concepts and positioning.
  • Champion product concepts through the stage gate process to execution.
  • Manage the 3-5 year innovation pipeline in collaboration with R&D, Project Management, Sales, and Finance.
  • Conduct ongoing competitive assessments and identify new opportunities based on consumer trends.
  • Inspire the development of the innovation pipeline through deep consumer understanding and market knowledge.
  • Partner with consumer insights to design winning product propositions and unique selling points.
  • Lead product development from ideation through launch, including pricing and product claims.
  • Act as steward of the P&L, accountable for top and bottom-line results for each project.
  • Exhibit strong partnership with finance and sales to design ideal pricing architecture.
  • Manage complex projects and influence higher-level leadership and strategic direction.
  • Lead cross-functional teams for specific project workstreams.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in brand marketing or innovation marketing in CPG.
  • 4+ years of experience in retail data analytics or consumer insights is a plus.
  • 2+ years of experience managing and developing a team.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Experience in front-end innovation or design thinking.
  • Strong time and project management skills.
  • Ability to partner cross-functionally and collaborate with creative teams.
  • Strong communication skills to influence senior leadership and present to external stakeholders.
  • Experience working with retailers in various sectors.
