About the position

The Senior Manager, Sales Strategy & Enablement at Walmart Connect plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between supplier brands and retail shoppers through digital advertising and e-commerce. This position is part of a high-visibility team within Walmart, the world's largest company, and is focused on driving proactive account management, insights, and support for Walmart Connect's Agency, Media, and Channel partners. The ideal candidate will possess a strong executive presence and be adept at cultivating essential stakeholder relationships across Sales, Operations, and leadership teams. In this role, you will support the Partnership team in various areas, including measurement, performance, best operational practices, API support, and research opportunities. You will collaborate with business stakeholders to create a central framework, facilitate workflow, and manage change effectively. The position requires expertise in key sales support activities such as revenue routing, segmentation design, quota setting, opportunity pipeline management, annual account planning, goal setting, and organizational planning. The responsibilities include collaborating with leaders to design and document resource planning processes, ensuring data quality for measuring success metrics, and monitoring key performance metrics. You will also be responsible for constructing and maintaining core reports and tools that support changes in Salesforce, ensuring data accuracy, and presenting critical data in a useful format for Sales Leadership. Additionally, you will develop input and output metrics for evaluating progress, conduct ad hoc analyses, and support decision-making by specifying requirements for analytic capabilities. This role demands a proactive approach to addressing strategic questions and executing initiatives across cross-functional partners, all while maintaining a deep understanding of the business and its alignment with broader strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Drive proactive account management and insights for Walmart Connect's Agency, Media, and Channel partners.
  • Collaborate with leaders in the Partnership team to design and document resource planning processes.
  • Lead the collection of third-party and internal data to identify appropriate measurements and KPIs for success metrics.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance metrics within reporting tools for teams and partners.
  • Construct and maintain core reports and tools that support changes in Salesforce.
  • Partner with Partnership leadership to ensure data accuracy in pipeline and activity data.
  • Collaborate with engineers to generate necessary data when unavailable.
  • Present critical data in a format useful for addressing Sales Leadership team inputs and outputs.
  • Develop input and output metrics for evaluating progress and reporting processes.
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses on business results and sales performance.
  • Support decision-making by specifying requirements for developing analytic capabilities and metrics.
  • Lead and conduct analyses to identify root causes of revenue fluctuations.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of work experience in a role requiring analytical skills, such as business analyst, data analyst, or statistical analyst.
  • Profound experience in sales processes and tools, including Salesforce CRM systems.
  • Proficiency in writing complex and efficient SQL queries to extract data.
  • Ability to gather and document business requirements and user stories from internal and external customers.
  • Competence in managing core Sales Operations processes, such as Account Planning and Sales Performance Management.
  • Ability to partner with internal technical teams to design and implement sales operations solutions.
  • Proficiency in analyzing sales processes for performance improvement.
  • Ability to communicate findings and make recommendations clearly and effectively.
  • Capacity to independently manage multiple projects and prioritize responsibilities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree (MBA, Business, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field).
  • Advanced knowledge of data mining and experience with SQL, data warehousing, and statistical analysis tools.
  • Experience in extracting and processing data using SQL and Excel.
