About the position

The Sr. Manager of Business Development for Walmart LocalFinds is responsible for driving the acquisition of Enterprise retailers to enhance the local shopping experience. This role involves executing the retailer acquisition strategy, ensuring selection and GMV goals are met, and effectively communicating the value of Walmart LocalFinds to C-level retailer leaders. The position requires collaboration with internal teams to identify partnership opportunities and influence retailer decisions using data and insights.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, pursue, and close new Enterprise retailer selection for Walmart LocalFinds.
  • Drive execution of retailer acquisition strategy and act as the voice of the retailer internally.
  • Ensure selection and GMV goals are met by evaluating ongoing effectiveness of current processes.
  • Pitch and communicate the value of Walmart LocalFinds to C-level retailer leaders.
  • Use data and insights to influence retailer decisions and negotiate partnership agreements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify opportunities for Enterprise partnerships.

Requirements

  • 8+ years experience in Business Development, Sales, Partnerships, or related field.
  • 3+ years experience collaborating with cross-functional partners.
  • Experience in consumer-focused retail or ecommerce/marketplace environment.
  • Excellent critical thinking and communication skills, comfortable presenting to executives.
  • Strong ownership and autonomy with a tenacious and dedicated approach.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
  • Experience leading complex Enterprise deal negotiations in the eCommerce Marketplace space.
  • Strong leadership characteristics aligned with Walmart Values.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.
