About the position

The Change Initiatives Governance and QA Manager position at CIBC is responsible for setting the change and implementation requirements for the Combined US Operations (CUSO). This role involves leading the governance and advisory functions, as well as the quality assurance functions of the group. The Governance and QA Manager will provide advisory on change management standards to initiatives across the CUSO, ensuring that the work environment is optimal for team members to thrive in their roles. Details regarding the work arrangement will be discussed during the interview process.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and drive the revision process for creating and maintaining policies, standards and procedures to support governance, change and implementation requirements for the delivery of the CUSO portfolio of initiatives.
  • Manage the group's inventory of governance documentation and SharePoint site.
  • Authorize, manage and track policy and standards exceptions or violations, supporting reporting of exceptions to varying audiences.
  • Ensure adherence to governing documents while continuously identifying and driving enhancements to the change initiative framework through policies, standards and procedures.
  • Manage and drive the QA process to ensure project requirements adhere to the governance framework, conducting managerial reviews as part of the ongoing QA process.
  • Partner with the training delivery team to provide guidance and support for curriculum and materials development.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to determine necessary changes in change management standards, processes, documentation and implementation related requirements.
  • Advise initiative teams on change management standards and expectations to ensure consistency and adherence to governance requirements.
  • Maintain full understanding of Enterprise requirements and liaise with the Enterprise PMO to maintain CUSO documentation.
  • Maintain change management processes and templates to be utilized by initiatives across the CUSO.
  • Maintain full understanding of frameworks, policies, procedures impacting US CAG objectives.
  • Drive adoption through communication and coordination.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in financial services and/or consulting supporting governance, policy management and/or quality assurance process
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Experience in policy development, change management, quality assurance, project and program management
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills
  • Experience in testing or audit
  • Exceptional verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience with project management methodologies
  • Detail oriented with the ability to synthesize information and communicate effectively to varying audiences
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders at all levels
  • Proactive with intellectual curiosity and a bias towards action
  • Results driven, comfortable working with ambiguity and competing priorities.
