About the position

The Chief of Staff at Capital One will play a pivotal role in driving growth for associate experience initiatives within the Tech organization. This high-impact position requires collaboration with leaders across various departments, including Product, Design, Finance, and Human Resources, to enhance both internal and external customer experiences. The Chief of Staff will manage multiple high-visibility initiatives, requiring strong leadership, strategic planning, and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the execution of several high visibility initiatives concurrently.
• Lead teams and drive delivery within large projects across diverse teams and locations to timely completion.
• Create and manage effective, scalable processes to manage the organizational operating rhythms.
• Establish operating rituals to ensure ongoing success for the Program Delivery organization.
• Bridge relationships across Capital One business units to increase visibility and improve efficiencies.
• Create, drive and maintain communications with key stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Military experience
• At least 5 years of Project Management or Program Management experience
• Ability to manage a large budget and adhere to yearly and monthly reporting requirements
• Must be highly organized and process oriented with attention to detail
• Must be comfortable with ambiguity and able to 'bring order to chaos' when required
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Proven ability to execute on large cross team projects.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's Degree
• 6+ years of experience in Project Management or Program Management
• 3+ years of experience as a Chief of Staff
• 2+ years of experience working closely with executives
• 2+ years of experience building strong partnerships with stakeholders across a variety of levels
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Meticulous attention to detail.
