About the position

The Senior Manager, Cloud Engineering at Lennar is responsible for overseeing the implementation of cloud technologies that provide secure, scalable, and resilient solutions. This role involves managing various priorities, guiding the technology organization, and ensuring effective collaboration among teams to enhance innovation and operational efficiency. The leader will work closely with technology leaders and engineers to clarify priorities and reduce backlogs, while also managing resources effectively to achieve organizational goals.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the definition of principles and patterns for cloud technology usage.
• Manage individuals and groups, including first line managers or supervisors.
• Allocate responsibilities and delegate tasks appropriately.
• Guide staffing, talent identification, performance management, and associate development processes.
• Ensure effective working relationships within the team and with stakeholders.
• Align functional objectives with company strategy and establish goals for the team.
• Collaborate with strategic partners to develop prioritization criteria for portfolio work.
• Work across functions to enhance collaboration and improve business and IT processes.
• Communicate decisions, plans, and priorities effectively at all levels.
• Create strategies for the secure consumption of cloud resources in accordance with security standards.
• Establish governance frameworks for cloud resource consumption.
• Develop risk management practices for cloud-related activities.
• Promote an Infrastructure as Code (IaC) mindset within the organization.
• Advise on options, risks, and impacts of business changes.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in cloud engineering or related field.
• Bachelor's degree or relevant certification required.
• Strong consultative skills and ability to drive accountability across teams.
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude and optimize solutions across teams.
• Experience in managing complex IT services and cloud strategies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong presentation skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with multi-cloud strategies and well-architected framework reviews.
• Comfort with ambiguity and ability to independently resolve issues.
• Technical leadership experience in IT operations.
