About the position

The Senior Manager, Commercial Finance will serve as a key finance business partner within the FP&A function, focusing on financial modeling, business case development, and strategic planning to support product development initiatives. This role emphasizes establishing standardized financial processes and frameworks to enhance decision-making and drive financial performance across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary financial partner for GPD&I teams to assess and prioritize product development opportunities.
  • Partner with the Connected Products Group to drive value creation and provide financial guidance.
  • Lead the establishment of a company-wide margin framework for consistent analysis and performance monitoring.
  • Standardize the CER process for New Product Development, ensuring compliance with financial policies.
  • Provide business decision support through financial modeling for investment scenarios, including discounted cash flow analysis.
  • Develop comprehensive business cases for product initiatives, incorporating market data and KPIs.
  • Establish a common financial model across all business units for strategic portfolio decisions.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of actual results versus forecast to support long-term planning and budgeting.
  • Prepare executive-level financial reports and presentations for senior leadership.
  • Manage, develop, and mentor a team, conducting performance reviews and feedback sessions.
  • Manage and deliver on special projects focused on improving financial processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • 7+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or related field.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior leadership.
  • Expertise in financial modeling, business case development, and portfolio analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Experience balancing high-priority, long-term projects with immediate deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information effectively.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with financial planning tools like Excel, SAP BPC, Tableau Desktop, and Qliksense.
  • Experience in product development, make-vs-buy decisions, or cost of complexity analyses.
  • Experience in CPG or design-to-manufacture industries.
  • Experience in establishing financial frameworks and standardizing processes.
