The Senior Manager, Communications Planning Strategist is responsible for developing, implementing, and supervising communication strategies to successfully convey organizational messages to target audiences. They will collaborate with various teams to ensure consistency and coherence across all communication channels. This role requires a strategic thinker who can analyze market trends and audience needs to create effective communication plans that align with the company's goals. The Senior Manager will also oversee the execution of integrated communication campaigns across multiple platforms, ensuring that all content is engaging and on-brand. In addition to tactical planning and campaign development, the Senior Manager will be responsible for media relations, digital marketing efforts, and measuring the effectiveness of communication strategies. They will engage with both internal and external customers to foster relationships and goodwill, manage communication budgets, and lead a team of communication professionals. This position is crucial for maintaining the company's reputation and ensuring that all communications reflect the values and mission of Bath & Body Works.

Responsibilities

  • Develop communication strategies aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Analyze target audiences, market trends, and competitor strategies to advise planning.
  • Create integrated communication campaigns across multiple channels, including digital media, traditional media, events, and public relations.
  • Produce high-quality content, including press releases, articles, blog posts, social media posts, and other materials, to engage audiences and convey key messages.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with media outlets and journalists.
  • Pitch narratives, coordinate interviews, and handle media inquiries to secure coverage.
  • Be responsible for digital marketing efforts, including social media management, email marketing, SEO, and paid advertising.
  • Track and analyze the effectiveness of communication strategies and campaigns using metrics such as reach, engagement, and conversion rates.
  • Develop crisis communication plans and protocols to mitigate reputational risks.
  • Engage with internal and external customers to establish relationships and cultivate goodwill.
  • Handle communication budgets effectively, allocating resources to improve impact and achieve objectives.
  • Lead and mentor a team of communication professionals, providing guidance, feedback, and support.

Requirements

  • Validated experience (10+ years) in communications planning, strategy development, and execution.
  • Strong understanding of communication principles, techniques, and standard processes.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in digital communication tools and platforms.
  • Strategic problem solver with the ability to translate sophisticated ideas into clear and compelling messages.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a constantly evolving, time critical environment.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to inspire and empower team members.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in crisis communication management is a plus.
