About the position

The Senior Manager, Special Projects at Walgreens is a strategic role focused on enhancing internal communications to drive culture change and reinforce Walgreens as an employer of choice. This position involves collaboration with Human Resources and various business partners to develop and execute effective communication plans that inspire team members and improve organizational culture.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with business partners to plan and execute culture and change management communications plans.
  • Collaborate across corporate and business unit communications to execute communications plans and campaigns effectively.
  • Measure the effectiveness of communications and leverage insights for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure communications resonate with team members by collaborating with the editorial director.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to maintain consistent communication and explore innovative storytelling opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and at least four (4) years of experience in internal communications or public relations, or a High School diploma/GED and at least seven (7) years of experience in internal communications or public relations.
  • Experience working cross-functionally to execute communications initiatives.
  • Experience building relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Experience leading and completing multiple projects on deadline.
  • At least 2 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace.
  • At least 2 years of direct leadership, indirect leadership and/or cross-functional team leadership.
