About the position

The Senior Manager, Consumer Insights at Adtalem Global Education is responsible for leading market research initiatives, advanced analytics, and strategic business analysis to support the organization's institutions. This role focuses on understanding consumer perspectives, including student prospects and alumni, to inform marketing strategies and enhance brand perception. The position requires strong project management and analytical skills, as well as the ability to synthesize research findings into actionable recommendations.

Responsibilities

  • Provides expert insights and counsel to internal business partners and agency partners based on research findings.
  • Synthesizes multiple sources of primary and secondary research to develop actionable recommendations.
  • Acts as primary Consumer Insights contact for institution(s), developing and executing research plans and projects.
  • Translates business questions into research objectives and identifies the best research methodology and vendor.
  • Manages research vendors, directs analysis of research findings, and presents findings to various audiences.
  • Leads complex analytical studies, including consumer and market segmentation and attitude studies.
  • Provides input to predictive quantitative modeling for enrollment projections and media effectiveness.
  • Ensures research projects are delivered on time, accurately, and within budget.
  • Manages multiple projects and priorities independently.
  • Integrates research results into annual business and marketing planning processes.
  • Serves as a consumer advocate within the organization.
  • Stays updated on industry trends and drives innovation in research techniques.
  • Manages freelance/contract resources and/or junior level direct reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Marketing, Psychology, Sociology, or Economics.
  • 10 years of experience in consumer marketing research or related areas.
  • Proven experience in designing and executing impactful research studies.
  • Strong knowledge of quantitative research methods and statistics.
  • Working knowledge of applied statistical methods including regression models and cluster analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and influence business decisions.
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate controversial findings and advocate a point of view.
  • Strong analytic and problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Higher education research experience preferred but not required.
  • Proficiency in Qualtrics or other DIY consumer insights program packages.
