About the position

The Senior Manager of Content Design at T-Mobile is responsible for leading the vision and strategy for product content experiences. This role involves managing a team of content designers, establishing content guidelines, and ensuring a cohesive narrative across product experiences. The position requires collaboration with various teams to enhance user-centric content and improve content workflows, ultimately driving the development of high-quality product content that meets user needs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of content designers, providing feedback and coaching on career development and content creation and editing.
  • Establish a Content Design team within an established organization.
  • Drive content guidelines and best practices to build deep connections and trust with users.
  • Influence and lead style guides and design language to establish clear language and tone.
  • Identify and champion the most efficient content workflows possible.
  • Organize existing content, create guidelines for future content, and ensure alignment across channels and user touchpoints.
  • Use human-centered design methods to design, craft, and test content solutions.
  • Set clear objectives and KPIs for content quality, effectiveness, SEO, awareness, impressions, and visits.
  • Create tools, guides, and templates to empower the team to create their own content.

Requirements

  • 4-7 years of experience in the development of content inventories, taxonomies, and strategies.
  • 2+ years of direct people management skills.
  • Experience collaborating with internal cross-functional partners to drive results.
  • Knowledge in technical software and knowledge of design and research process and strategy.
  • Previous experience in product, technology, or digital function highly preferred.
  • Experience leading content teams working with product or business teams.
  • Collaboration and cross-functional leadership.
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Psychology or equivalent work experience.
