About the position

The Senior Manager, Contracts at Raytheon will primarily support the Navy portfolio within the Electro-Optical InfraRed (EO/IR) Solutions SSBU. This role involves managing a team and collaborating closely with various stakeholders to ensure compliance with contractual requirements, prepare proposals, and oversee multiple customer accounts and programs. The position requires strategic thinking for long-term growth and the ability to navigate complex contractual landscapes.

Responsibilities

  • Advise on contract implementation discussions to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead proposal activities for new development competitive efforts for the next generation EO/IR on the CH-53K helicopter.
  • Support development and production contractual efforts for the MQ-25 EO/IR with various customers.
  • Develop new customer relationships while strengthening existing ones to meet key customer desires.
  • Identify risks, assess performance requirements, and advise management on contractual rights and obligations post-award.
  • Interface with customers during the contract execution phase and advise the program team on contract terms.
  • Act as the focal point of contact with the customer for all contractual matters, change management, and driving issues to closure.

Requirements

  • A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years' experience.
  • Experience in contract management including proposal cost structure, performance requirements, delivery schedules, and terms and conditions.
  • Experience with U.S. Government (USG) contract types and/or commercial contracts terms and conditions.
  • Familiarity with FAR, DFARS, and related government regulations.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Management or people leader experience.
  • Experience with proposals and contract administration of both production and development contracts.
  • Experience handling a diverse portfolio of customers, including high-volume RFQs and RFPs.
  • Experience with Firm Fixed Price (FFP) and Cost-Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) contracts.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with customer negotiations.
  • Prior experience working on commercial transactions and terms.
  • Working knowledge in the use and application of APEX, ICMS, and SAP.
  • Relevant contracts certifications such as CPCM, CFCM, or CCM.
