About the position

The Senior Manager, Contracts position at Aerojet Rocketdyne focuses on providing leadership within the Space Systems division's Contracts organization. The role emphasizes improving cash collection processes and implementing strategic enhancements in proposal generation, change management, and international contracting. The manager will also work on fostering relationships with internal and external customers while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Provide senior leadership for the Contracts organization in operations and international expertise.
  • Focus on improving cash collection and implementing strategic process improvements.
  • Lead contract modification restructuring for cash collection.
  • Track and drive down Requests for Equitable Adjustments (REAs).
  • Drive offsets and international contracting across the organization.
  • Partner with supply chain to align contracts and subcontracts.
  • Establish consistent training objectives to enhance employee competencies.
  • Develop strong relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Provide strategic support regarding disputes, including claims and REAs.
  • Oversee commercial, international, and government contract development and management activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 10 years of experience, or 16 years of prior related experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Subject matter expertise in Government and International contracting.
  • 8+ years of leadership experience in contracts management, overseeing large, complex proposals and negotiations.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading complex contracts organizations.
  • Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to proposal preparation, contract negotiation, and FAR, DFAR, ITAR regulations.
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance.
