About the position

As a Senior Manager in Corporate Accounting and Consolidations for New Ventures, you will oversee the consolidation and monthly close processes for new business ventures. This role involves collaboration with various business and functional leaders to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, compliance with statutory audit requirements, and the implementation of process improvements. You will also work closely with the Senior Director of Corporate Accounting to enhance the global close process and drive consistency across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee US GAAP global consolidations and monthly close on new business ventures.
  • Manage accounting operations including accruals, payables, cash collections, and accounting reconciliations controls.
  • Collaborate with business and functional leaders to coordinate information flow and ensure timely close submissions to Corporate/HQ.
  • Co-lead M&A close integration to comply with SOX in a high growth business environment.
  • Oversee monthly and quarterly management financial reporting deliverables and act as a liaison with external auditors.
  • Maintain and enhance internal controls over financial reporting to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare various flux analysis for income statements, balance sheets, and cash flows.
  • Collaborate with FP&A and business teams to analyze variances between actuals and forecasts.
  • Develop KPIs to track the close process and optimize operations.
  • Lead special projects such as M&A integration, ERP migration, and implementation of new accounting standards.
  • Support ad hoc Controllership projects due to rapid growth.
  • Liaise with external auditors on audit requests and testing.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in accounting or finance.
  • CPA certification.
  • Experience in managing global consolidations and financial systems in complex, multi-national publicly-traded companies.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., D365, NetSuite) and reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in implementing analytical techniques for the close cycle.
  • Strong business acumen and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Experience with M&A integration and leading ERP implementation, migration, and upgrades.
  • Strong data analytics and system controls skills with an understanding of their impact on accounting and financial reporting processes.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong leadership, organization, and technology skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with D365, NetSuite, Hyperion Financial Management, or OneStream.
  • Government accounting experience in the Aerospace or Defense industry.
  • Financial Planning & Analysis experience.
  • Strong financial systems skills.
  • Understanding of transfer pricing methodology and approach.
