About the position

The Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting at Hollister Incorporated is a pivotal role responsible for leading corporate accounting and global consolidation to ensure the delivery of accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with US GAAP. This position involves overseeing the global monthly statutory close process, which includes providing analytical insights, preparing the Company's consolidated financial statements annually, and offering active support during audits. The Senior Manager will also manage global accounting positions and significant transactions, ensuring the integrity of accounting system data, and will be responsible for the management and performance of US credit operations, payroll, and benefits, while mentoring and developing employees within the team. In this role, the Senior Manager will lead the corporate close process, ensuring accurate global reporting and driving improvements to enhance the efficiency of the close process. This includes preparing and reviewing the monthly globally consolidated statutory close, leading cross-departmental governance meetings, and presenting monthly close recaps to the finance leadership team. The position also requires the preparation of the Company's consolidated financial statements and coordination of the year-end audit, ensuring compliance with both local and US GAAP requirements. Additionally, the Senior Manager will actively manage global accounting positions, assist with acquisition and divestiture accounting, and ensure the implementation of new US GAAP standards. The role requires a strong partnership with the FFG team to standardize processes and maintain data integrity within accounting systems. The Senior Manager will also oversee US credit operations, reviewing customer-level reporting and improving processes to drive collections and team performance. This position is crucial for developing future leaders within the finance organization and requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and the ability to communicate effectively with corporate leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the global monthly statutory close process, including analytical insights.
  • Prepare and review the monthly globally consolidated statutory close including consolidated income statement and balance sheet.
  • Lead monthly cross departmental close governance meetings with various finance teams.
  • Review monthly journal entries and trial balances submitted by Finance associates.
  • Prepare and present the monthly close recap to the finance leadership team.
  • Prepare and review the Company's consolidated financial statements and required notes prior to submission to leadership.
  • Coordinate the year-end consolidated close with support from the Director Global Accounting.
  • Manage the implementation of new US GAAP accounting standards as applicable.
  • Assist with acquisition, divestiture or merger accounting as necessary.
  • Review and update changes to SAP and BPC for GL accounts and other settings as necessary.
  • Review customer-level reporting on DSO, deductions, AR aging and payment history.
  • Review the accuracy of US payroll for timely and accurate reporting.

Requirements

  • 8-12 years overall experience
  • 7+ years Accounting Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent required
  • CPA Required
  • MBA preferred
  • Experience leading global accounting processes and teams
  • People Management experience is required
