About the position

As the Senior Manager of Corporate Communications at BambooHR, you will lead the communications strategy, focusing on both internal and external communications to enhance brand awareness and thought leadership, particularly for the executive team. This role involves mentoring a team of communications professionals, advising executive leadership, and overseeing media channels to drive content strategy and engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a small team of communications professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the executive leadership team on messaging, positioning, and media engagement.
  • Shape and execute BambooHR's corporate communication strategy.
  • Create a cohesive vision and strategy for executive thought leadership platforms.
  • Oversee owned and earned media channels, including the HR Unplugged podcast.
  • Partner to launch and manage the upcoming news site, guiding its content development and editorial strategy.
  • Create high-quality content, including executive keynotes, speeches, scripts, press releases, and social media posts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align communications strategies with business goals and HR industry trends.
  • Support crisis communications and change management as needed.

Requirements

  • 10-15 years of relevant experience in the communications field, including internal and external audiences in both agency and in-house settings.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a high-performing team.
  • Extensive writing experience with a portfolio showcasing various content formats, including executive speeches and keynotes.
  • Ability to build relationships of trust across all levels of an organization, including with executive leaders.
  • Experience building and managing executive thought leadership platforms.
  • Ability to capitalize on current events and trends to enhance communication strategies.
  • Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with senior executives and managing high-stakes communications.
  • Prior HR, SaaS, or startup experience.
  • Strong background in journalism.
