About the position

The Senior Manager, Corporate Finance & Accounting will play a crucial role within the Corporate Close & Consolidation team at NBCUniversal. This position is responsible for managing Comcast-driven initiatives that impact the global consolidation and reporting processes of the company. The role requires collaboration with various stakeholders, effective project management, and the ability to document and improve existing processes. The Senior Manager will report to the Senior Director, Corporate Finance & Accounting and will work closely with teams across different locations.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Comcast Corporate Controllership on company-wide initiatives requiring modifications to existing consolidation and reporting processes.
  • Lead project management by communicating and aligning expectations among all parties involved and monitoring progress for timely implementation.
  • Document existing processes and explore opportunities for improvement in effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Solicit feedback from stakeholders and analyze solutions to identified challenges and risks.
  • Partner with SAP Business Solutioning & Controls and Technology to ensure proper support for the final data submission process.
  • Communicate new requirements to the NBCU Finance community as necessary.
  • Coordinate with the SAP S/4 HANA transformation team to assess impacts on current processes and accommodate Comcast requirements.
  • Champion business continuity efforts for Global Close & Consolidation and support the team's cross-training program.
  • Understand the monthly close & consolidation processes and provide backup support as required.
  • Provide strong partnership with team members in LA, London, and Madrid.
  • Contribute to other special projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • 6+ years of progressive accounting-related experience.
  • Public accounting experience preferred.
  • Entertainment industry experience preferred, not required.
  • Project management experience preferred.
  • CPA preferred.
  • Exceptional Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of SAP / AOE preferred.
