About the position

The Senior Manager, Customer Insights position is a client-facing role that provides dedicated onsite consulting support to a retail division. The role focuses on leveraging customer insights to drive decision-making and improve business outcomes, particularly in customer loyalty and sales. The ideal candidate will have a strong consulting and analytical background, enabling them to generate actionable insights and effectively engage with category management teams and division leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Support client objectives to improve their overall business by driving customer loyalty and sales.
  • Coach merchant teams to use customer insight in their day-to-day decision-making.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations backed by a fact-base.
  • Utilize BI tools including Symphony reports to help answer retailer business questions.
  • Partner with internal and external CPG focused groups on key initiatives.
  • Train clients on the use of SymphonyAI tools and insights.
  • Support all key business strategies as identified by the client.
  • Participate in key cross-functional projects that cut across retail teams.
  • Participate in the development of best practices, training, and reference materials.
  • Contribute to quality control and validation of all reporting and troubleshooting data and software issues as needed.
  • Actively participate in and assist with preparations for team and client meetings as requested.

Requirements

  • Deep consulting and analytic background.
  • Ability to derive actionable insights from data.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience with BI tools, particularly SymphonyAI tools.
  • Proven ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a results-oriented mindset.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in retail or consumer packaged goods (CPG) industries.
  • Familiarity with customer loyalty programs.
  • Knowledge of data analysis and reporting tools.
