About the position

Publicis Sapient is seeking a Senior Manager of Data Engineering to lead a team of technologists in delivering impactful data solutions for enterprise clients. This role involves leveraging data to drive customer acquisition and engagement, while advancing large-scale data platforms that connect brands with consumers. The Senior Manager will act as a trusted advisor, translating client needs into technology solutions, ensuring high-quality deliverables, and mentoring team members.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of data engineers to deliver transformative data solutions for enterprise clients.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, leveraging data for customer acquisition and engagement.
  • Advance the application of large-scale data platforms to enable business transformation.
  • Translate client needs into technology solutions and provide expertise in solving complex business issues.
  • Shape opportunities and create execution approaches throughout the lifecycle of client engagements.
  • Ensure high-quality deliverables by setting development standards and participating in code reviews.
  • Mentor, support, and manage team members.

Requirements

  • Exceptional data engineering skills with a background in distributed computing.
  • Proven experience in delivering large-scale data platforms.
  • Good grasp of analytics, measurement, reporting, and business intelligence.
  • Hands-on expertise in the big data ecosystem including data integration, storage, compute frameworks, and advanced visualization tools.
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery.
  • Hands-on experience with Python coding.
  • Expertise in data governance for big data, including knowledge of MDM/entity resolution solutions.
  • Experience with large language models (LLM) performance and fine-tuning.
  • Ability to lead teams in understanding the client's digital ecosystem and producing a future data landscape vision.
  • Excellent client communication and facilitation skills.

  • Google Cloud Platform Certifications.
  • Certifications in Machine Learning/Advanced Analytics courses.
  • Experience with code repositories and continuous integration pipelines.
  • Experience in data governance and lineage implementation.
  • Multi-geo and distributed delivery experience in large programs.
