About the position

Publicis Sapient is seeking a Senior Manager of Data Engineering to lead a team of technologists in delivering impactful data solutions for enterprise clients. This role focuses on leveraging data to drive customer acquisition and engagement, while advancing large-scale data platforms that facilitate business transformation. The Senior Manager will work closely with clients to understand their needs, provide technical expertise, and ensure high-quality deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor to clients by leveraging data for customer acquisition and engagement as part of large digital transformation journeys.
• Advance the application of large-scale data platforms as a core building block to connecting brands with consumers and enabling true business transformation.
• Work closely with clients to understand their needs and translate them into technology solutions.
• Provide expertise as a technical resource to solve complex business issues that translate into data integration and database systems designs.
• Shape opportunities and create execution approaches throughout the lifecycle of client engagements.
• Ensure all deliverables are of high quality by setting development standards, adhering to the standards, and participating in code reviews.
• Mentor, support, and manage team members.

Requirements

• Exceptional data engineering skills with a distributed computing background and proven experience in delivering large scale data platforms.
• Good grasp of analytics, measurement, reporting, and business intelligence including modeling, insights generation, and data science.
• Hands-on technologist with deep expertise in big data ecosystem for data integration, data storage, compute framework, analytics, and advanced visualization.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) with BigQuery.
• Hands-on experience with Python coding.
• Expertise in data governance for big data space with knowledge of various MDM/entity resolution solutions.
• Experience with large language models (LLM) performance and fine-tuning.
• Experience in implementing retrieval augmented generation (RAG).
• Ability to lead teams that rapidly learn the client's current digital ecosystem and produce a future data landscape vision and strategy considering the transformation agenda and business goals.
• Excellent client communication and facilitating skills, ability to influence others and gain consensus, and team collaboration.
• Combination of proficient consulting, business, strategy, technical and people skills.

• Certifications for any Machine Learning/Advanced Analytics Courses.
• Experience working with code repositories and continuous integration pipelines using codebuild/code pipelines or similar tools/technologies.
• Experience in data governance and lineage implementation.
