About the position

The Senior Manager of Data Engineering at Publicis Sapient is responsible for leading a team of data engineers to deliver transformative data solutions for enterprise clients. This role involves acting as a trusted advisor, leveraging data to enhance customer engagement, and driving digital transformation initiatives. The position requires a blend of technical expertise in data engineering, client communication, and team management to ensure high-quality deliverables and successful project execution.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients by leveraging data for customer acquisition and engagement.
  • Advance the application of large-scale data platforms to connect brands with consumers.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their needs and translate them into technology solutions.
  • Provide expertise as a technical resource to solve complex business issues related to data integration and database systems designs.
  • Shape opportunities and create execution approaches throughout the lifecycle of client engagements.
  • Ensure all deliverables are of high quality by setting development standards and participating in code reviews.
  • Mentor, support, and manage team members.

Requirements

  • Exceptional data engineering skills with a distributed computing background and proven experience in delivering large scale data platforms.
  • Good grasp of analytics, measurement, reporting, and business intelligence including modeling, insights generation, and data science.
  • Hands-on experience with big data ecosystem for data integration, data storage, compute framework, analytics, and advanced visualization tools.
  • Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery.
  • Hands-on experience with Python coding.
  • Expertise in data governance for big data with knowledge of various MDM/entity resolution solutions.
  • Experience with large language models (LLM) performance and fine-tuning.
  • Experience in implementing retrieval augmented generation (RAG).
  • Ability to lead teams in producing a future data landscape vision and strategy.
  • Excellent client communication and facilitating skills, ability to influence others and gain consensus.

  • Google Cloud Platform Certifications.
  • Certifications for any Machine Learning/Advanced Analytics Courses.
  • Experience working with code repositories and continuous integration pipelines.
  • Experience in data governance and lineage implementation.
  • Multi-geo and distributed delivery experience in large programs.
