About the position

The Senior Manager Data Engineering at Publicis Sapient is responsible for leading a team of data engineers to deliver data-driven solutions for enterprise clients. This role involves translating client needs into technology solutions, ensuring high-quality deliverables, and mentoring team members while working with cutting-edge data technologies.

Responsibilities

• Play a key role in delivering data-driven interactive experiences to clients.
• Work closely with clients to understand their needs and translate them into technology solutions.
• Provide expertise as a technical resource to solve complex business issues related to data integration and database systems designs.
• Problem solve to resolve issues and remove barriers throughout the lifecycle of client engagements.
• Ensure all deliverables are high quality by setting development standards and participating in code reviews.
• Participate in integrated validation and analysis sessions of components and subsystems on production servers.
• Mentor, support, and manage team members.

Requirements

• Strong communication skills and willingness to work as a team.
• Hands-on experience with at least one of the leading public cloud data platforms (Amazon Web Services, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously in leadership and contributing to tasks 'hands-on'.
• Basics: threading, Asyncio, string formatting, Dict, JSON, pydantic.
• Advanced: list comprehension, higher order functions, idioms.
• Experience with Pytest/unittest, library packaging/publishing, Cython, Profiler/cProfile, pycallgraph, and Numpy.

Nice-to-haves

• Relevant certifications.
• Experience working with code repositories and continuous integration.
• Understanding of development and project methodologies.
