About the position

The Senior Manager, Data Engineering Platforms at Baxter is responsible for leading a team of engineers in the planning, building, and operations of data and reporting platforms. This role is crucial in providing technological and process expertise to support global domain data product delivery teams, ensuring efficient data and analytic solutions that positively impact the business.

Responsibilities

• Plan and develop technical roadmaps for data and analytics platforms.
• Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of data engineering pipelines in a multi-cloud environment.
• Collaborate with Domain Data Product Delivery teams and partners in Architecture, Data Integration, DevOps, and Data Governance.
• Ensure data engineering standards align with principles for data governance, quality, and security.
• Monitor and optimize the performance of data pipelines to meet SLAs for data availability and quality.
• Evaluate and recommend new data technologies and tools to improve data engineering processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or relevant subject area.
• Minimum 5+ years of technical experience in cloud-based data warehouse/data lake platforms such as AWS S3, Snowflake, Databricks, Microsoft Synapse.
• Minimum 5+ years leading and administering visualization platforms such as Tableau, Microsoft PowerBI, Qlik.
• Proven ability to work with Business users to define functional and analytical data requirements.
• Experience in leading teams in Data & Analytics programs with digital technologies.

Nice-to-haves
