About the position

NVIDIA is seeking a dynamic Data Governance leader to join its Finance Enterprise Data Warehouse and Analytics team. This role focuses on leveraging data assets to enhance decision-making and improve financial performance, establishing governance frameworks, maintaining data quality, and promoting collaboration between business and technical teams. The position emphasizes managing data as a strategic asset while ensuring scalability and security.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing enterprise-wide data governance frameworks, policies, and standards.
  • Establishing data quality metrics to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data.
  • Defining and enforcing data ownership and stewardship roles.
  • Monitoring compliance with internal policies and regulations like GDPR; conducting audits to ensure adherence.
  • Identifying, resolving, and preventing data-related issues.
  • Collaborating with IT on system integrations, data scalability, and security protocols.
  • Ensuring governance policies support business units' data needs; facilitating effective adoption of standards.
  • Documenting and tracking data lineage to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Streamlining data workflows to improve operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 12+ overall years of experience in data transformation, including at least 5 years in data governance or related roles.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience.
  • Demonstrable experience developing and managing data governance frameworks in complex organizations.
  • Strong understanding of data governance principles, data quality standards, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency in tools like Informatica, Collibra, Alation, or similar governance platforms.
  • Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and database technologies (e.g., SAP HANA, SAP Datasphere, Databricks).
  • Superb communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in data infrastructure scalability and system integrations.
  • Knowledge of machine learning and analytics workflows.
  • Certifications such as DAMA Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) or Collibra Certified Data Steward.
