About the position

The Senior Manager, Data Journalist at Dun & Bradstreet is responsible for leveraging data and analytics to create compelling narratives that inform and engage external audiences, including clients, investors, and media. This role combines traditional journalism with data analysis to uncover enterprise stories and monitor breaking news, ensuring that the company's communications effectively differentiate its brand and meet stakeholder expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and interpret data to author news articles and build experiential content on digital platforms.
  • Develop 2-3 unique data-driven articles or stories each month using D&B data and industry trends.
  • Create compelling narratives and headlines based on company data and analytics.
  • Generate fresh story ideas centered around business priorities for target audiences.
  • Manage the organic social media team to write, edit, and publish content across platforms.
  • Collaborate with data scientists to uncover insights focused on current events and news cycles.
  • Partner with internal experts to identify data journalism project opportunities.
  • Pitch original story ideas and contribute to team-conceived stories.
  • Inform the development of infographics, charts, and other creative visuals.
  • Manage multiple data and storytelling projects while ensuring quality and ethics.
  • Contribute to the global editorial content calendar, aligning projects with business priorities.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in reporting and working with data to craft stories; B2B experience is a plus.
  • 2-5 years of people management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Understanding of the media landscape and social media platforms.
