About the position

The Senior Manager, Data Platform Engineering will be responsible for developing, implementing, and enhancing core data platforms while supporting the data and analytics ecosystems, applications, and tools. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders, including Platform Owners, Business Channel leaders, and external vendors, to ensure optimal user experience and compliance with internal and external mandates. The position requires a strong leadership presence to influence strategic decisions and manage a team of engineers in an agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Define strategic vision for key functionalities within ADUSA Data platforms.
• Become a subject matter expert in data platform architecture guidance, particularly in 'Data Lakehouse'.
• Define data platform standards, guidelines, and recipes in collaboration with architecture and Platform Owners.
• Partner with architecture to design, test, and deliver critical functionality to enhance user experience and support business adoption.
• Influence senior business stakeholders on roadmap prioritization decisions using executive presence skills.
• Oversee team compliance with Change Management and IT Security policies.
• Lead a team of DevOps engineers to deliver PaaS, IaaS, and IaC solutions.
• Manage a team of DataOps support engineers providing 24/7 support for data platforms.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 8+ years of experience in relevant technology fields.
• 5+ years of experience in a leadership role, managing teams directly or indirectly.
• 5+ years of experience leading and managing an agile engineering team.

Nice-to-haves

• Post graduate degree or advanced training in relevant fields.
• 5+ years of experience in Agile teams and Product/Platform based operating models.
• 5+ years of experience in leading teams or advancing technical capabilities.
• 2-5 years of experience in DevOps or Azure DevOps.
• 2-5 years of experience in Databricks or MongoDB.
• 2-5 years of experience in GitHub.
