About the position

The Systems Administrator role at SiriusXM focuses on managing and optimizing cloud infrastructure, particularly in AWS environments. The position requires a solid understanding of cloud architecture, systems engineering, and networking concepts, along with project management skills to oversee cloud migration projects and resource management.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize AWS services including RDS, S3, ECS, and Lambdas.
• Oversee cloud migration projects and ensure successful implementation.
• Administer and maintain Unix, Linux, and Windows Server Operating Systems.
• Implement and manage container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Administer NoSQL databases and serverless technologies.
• Manage Storage Area Network Administration and virtualization tasks.
• Prepare and manage expense and capital budgets related to IT resources.
• Conduct system and staff planning to ensure efficient resource management.

Requirements

• Experience with AWS services and cloud migration projects.
• Solid understanding of cloud architecture and systems engineering.
• Knowledge of networking concepts and project management skills.
• Experience with containers, specifically Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases and serverless technologies.
• Proficiency in Unix, Linux, and Windows Server Operating Systems.
• Experience in virtualization and Storage Area Network Administration.
• Formal project management training is a plus.
• Experience with ITIL or other established IT methodologies.
