About the position

The Senior Manager of Digital Content and Social Media at OLAPLEX will lead the development and execution of innovative social media strategies to enhance brand engagement and drive business objectives. This role involves collaborating with various teams to create a cohesive content strategy that aligns with product launches and brand initiatives, while also mentoring a talented team to elevate the brand's presence across social platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Drive innovation and industry leadership across social channels.
  • Lead the development of platform strategies and go-to-market launch plans for emerging platforms.
  • Establish division goal setting that aligns with business objectives, including competitive benchmarking and KPI measurement.
  • Oversee content calendar and strategy to align with DTC and global retail calendars.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to share platform best practices and drive global content strategies.
  • Plan and execute social media strategy in alignment with product launches and brand initiatives.
  • Develop seasonal campaign toolkits and ensure cross-functional coordination.
  • Streamline processes for asset creation in conjunction with Influencer, Pro, PR, and Creative Services teams.
  • Mentor and guide a team to develop concepts that elevate the brand and deliver results.
  • Drive strategy and execution of global marketing initiatives through content storytelling across platforms.
  • Lead ideation and innovation on social media, identifying trends relevant to the audience.
  • Collaborate with teams to develop compelling content franchises tailored to each platform.
  • Create community building and user-generated content strategies.
  • Establish content and amplification strategy for Ambassador partners and collaborate on building extensions.
  • Partner with Pro to establish a PGC program that builds brand equity with the pro stylist community.
  • Identify relevant social media trends and cultural moments for unique brand concepts.
  • Ensure content strategies are globally scalable and oversee localization strategies for regional platforms.
  • Monitor, measure, and analyze performance of content distribution channels.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8+ years of professional experience in social media marketing and communications, focusing on beauty or hair care brands.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of management experience.
  • Proven track record of running successful social media campaigns and fostering communities.
  • Highly creative with the ability to develop new ideas that resonate with OLAPLEX's audience.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to influence key stakeholders.
  • Self-starter with a hands-on approach and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
