About the position

The Digital Marketing Senior Manager at Shiseido is a pivotal role that focuses on the strategic execution of marketing initiatives for Drunkelephant.com. This position works closely with the Executive Director of Global E-Commerce & CRM, ensuring that the marketing strategy aligns with both short-term and long-term goals. The Senior Manager will oversee the Digital Associate Manager and collaborate with various teams, including marketing, creative, education, and operations, to enhance Drunk Elephant's global sales while adhering to the company's core values of honesty and transparency. In this role, the Senior Manager will lead the overall site strategy and operations, ensuring that all product and content management is maintained globally. This includes the continual monitoring and updating of website content, such as the homepage, FAQs, and press releases. The Senior Manager will also work closely with regional teams to plan and manage sampling initiatives, including both general and deluxe sample promotional programs. Additionally, the role involves leading product launches on the site, which encompasses building product pages, managing associated content, and collaborating with creative and development teams to launch site assets and landing pages. The Digital Marketing aspect of the role requires a partnership with marketing and creative teams to drive company-wide initiatives and optimize them in a digital context. The Senior Manager will align with marketing to create a comprehensive digital marketing plan for product launches, ensuring that all site promotions and content assets are properly set up and tested prior to launch. This position also involves working cross-functionally with various departments to develop informative site content and ensure alignment with brand messaging across all platforms. On the international front, the Senior Manager will coordinate with the International GM to strategize market and flagship expansions, manage SKU offerings across different markets, and ensure that all assets and content are accurate for each region. This role is essential for maintaining the integrity of the brand while driving growth and engagement in the digital space.

Responsibilities

  • Lead overall site strategy and operations, overseeing maintenance and asset management for all products and content globally.
  • Monitor and update website content to ensure it remains current, including the homepage, philosophy, FAQs, and press releases.
  • Collaborate with regional teams to create, plan, and manage sampling initiatives, including general and deluxe sample promotional programs.
  • Lead product launches on the site, managing all content associated with product pages, including copy, images, and videos.
  • Analyze site data to identify opportunities for improvement, partnering with US, global ecommerce, and tech teams to implement new features and functionalities.
  • Partner with marketing and creative teams to drive company-wide marketing initiatives and optimize them in a digital environment.
  • Align with marketing to create a digital 360 marketing plan for product launches, reviewing site assets and ensuring effective cross-department communication.
  • Oversee the email program process and all marketing campaigns, managing creative briefs and timelines for asset deployment.
  • Maintain an updated marketing calendar with current programs and offers, distributing it to key stakeholders and teams.
  • Ensure all new products, promotions, and content assets are properly set up and tested on the site prior to launch for optimal user experience.
  • Work cross-functionally to develop informative site content that aligns with brand messaging in-store and on retailer sites.
  • Collaborate with search agencies to create on-brand copy for Adword campaigns and seasonal offerings.
  • Partner with regional digital teams for ongoing SEO needs, scaling and communicating best practices and initiatives year-round.
  • Ensure all third-party vendors and partners are informed about upcoming launches and programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field required; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 6+ years of e-Commerce experience across multiple functions, including CRM, site development, SEO, and promotions, preferably in the Beauty/Fashion Retail industry.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong cross-functional relationships.
  • People management experience preferred.
  • Business experience with web commerce platforms and technologies, specifically Salesforce Commerce Cloud, is a plus.
  • Superior project management skills, with the ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines with a sense of urgency.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the Beauty/Fashion Retail industry is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce Commerce Cloud and other web commerce platforms.
