About the position

As a Senior Manager of Digital Product Management at American Express, you will play a pivotal role in leading product development efforts within the Marketing Enablement and Transformation team. This position is part of a multi-year technology transformation initiative aimed at enhancing capabilities and solutions for the U.S. marketing organization. You will be responsible for defining the strategic direction of the products you oversee, which includes outlining the product vision, goals, and roadmap milestones. Your leadership will be crucial in driving high-quality, customer-first communications that accelerate business growth through optimized go-to-market solutions and the development of best-in-class MarTech products and processes. In this role, you will lead customer discovery efforts across multiple stakeholder teams to understand their needs, challenges, and opportunities. You will translate these needs into a prioritized list of technical capabilities and features that will guide solutioning and development activities in partnership with engineering teams. Your responsibilities will also include coordinating product releases, leading acceptance testing efforts, and monitoring the post-launch performance of features to ensure they meet the defined goals and deliver value to the organization. Responsibilities

  • Define the high-level strategic direction of the product(s) including product vision, goals, and roadmap milestones.
  • Lead customer discovery efforts across multiple stakeholder teams to understand needs, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Translate customer needs into a prioritized list of technical capabilities and features for development activities.
  • Coordinate product releases and lead acceptance testing efforts.
  • Monitor post-launch performance of features to ensure they meet defined goals.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a product management or product owner function.
  • Experience working within Agile software development methodologies and supporting tools and frameworks.
  • Highly skilled communicator, both orally and in documented artifacts.
  • Experience with complex and integrated product technology stacks.
  • Comfort in leading and influencing discussions.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Ability to quickly pivot and reprioritize as business strategies demand.
  • Passion for marketing technologies and the evolving external technology landscape.
  • Previous Salesforce or Adobe experience is a plus.
