About the position

The Senior Manager of Digital Retail Marketing Operations at Hyundai Motor America is a pivotal role that encompasses the management and oversight of various digital retailing programs and initiatives. This position is responsible for enhancing customer experience (CX), user experience (UX), and user interface (UI) strategies, as well as overseeing creative development, vendor partner relationships, dealer support, and communication. The Senior Manager will also be tasked with performance analytics and reporting, ensuring that all digital retailing solutions are effectively integrated and aligned with the company's marketing strategies. In this role, the Senior Manager will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, partners, and the in-house IT organization, as well as other technology partners, to develop innovative digital retailing solutions aimed at improving both customer and dealer experiences. This includes managing projects from inception to launch, ensuring timely implementation through disciplined project management practices. The Senior Manager will work in partnership with various marketing groups, public relations, product line management, distribution, pricing, and incentives to create a cohesive digital customer journey. Additionally, the Senior Manager will maintain strong relationships with other business units to stay informed about key initiatives that may impact digital retailing. They will oversee the Creative Agency of Record to ensure that creative strategies and executions align with digital retailing goals. The role also involves managing model year changeover integrations and new model launch integrations, coordinating with pricing, product line management, and distribution teams. The Senior Manager will be responsible for maximizing the effectiveness of digital retailing platforms to drive sales and leads for dealers, working closely with the Lead Management team to enhance lead quality and increase sales close rates. They will develop and communicate project proposals aimed at improving the digital retailing process and experiences, while also coaching and developing their staff to utilize their diverse talents effectively. This position holds common Sr. Manager-level authority as defined by Hyundai Motor America's HR and Finance policies.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee new digital retailing programs and initiatives.
  • Develop CX/UX/UI strategies and oversee creative development.
  • Maintain vendor partner relationships and integrations.
  • Support dealer communication and provide necessary resources.
  • Oversee performance analytics and reporting for digital retailing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and technology partners to build new digital retailing solutions.
  • Manage projects from inception to launch, ensuring timely implementation.
  • Partner with various marketing groups to develop a cohesive digital customer journey experience.
  • Coordinate with other business units to stay informed about key initiatives.
  • Oversee model year changeover and new model launch integrations.
  • Maximize the effectiveness of digital retailing platforms to drive sales and leads.
  • Develop and communicate project proposals to enhance digital retailing processes.
  • Coach, counsel, and develop staff effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Applied Statistics/Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering or Automotive Engineering preferred.
  • Eight years of experience in digital retailing strategy and operations in the automotive industry, with at least five years of directly related experience.
  • Supervisory experience is required.
  • Enterprise-level customer-facing website management experience is required.
  • Strong understanding of digital retailing architectures and technologies.
  • Ability to identify and quantify business opportunities related to digital retailing technology.
  • Strong analytical skills and mastery of analytical tools (e.g., Excel, GA4).
  • Ability to create and present executive-facing presentations and materials.
  • Strong project management skills with attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

  • Management consulting experience is a plus.
  • Agency management experience preferred.
  • Multiple vendor management experience preferred.
