About the position

The Senior Manager, Direct Mail Program at the National Park Foundation (NPF) plays a crucial role in the Annual Fund team, focusing on planning, producing, and evaluating direct mail fundraising campaigns. This position aims to raise budgeted revenue while acquiring, retaining, and reengaging individual donors. The Senior Manager collaborates with various stakeholders, including outside consultants and vendors, to manage the direct mail budget and campaign reporting effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Manage an integrated direct mail giving program to raise revenue through new donor acquisition, appeals, renewals, and stewardship efforts.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Director and team managers to craft effective fundraising appeals that communicate NPF activities to donors.
  • Maintain the Annual Fund mail production calendar and ensure alignment with overall Annual Giving program goals.
  • Supervise day-to-day operations of Annual Fund direct mail campaigns, ensuring messaging and design resonate with donors.
  • Work with creative and production teams to gather necessary materials for direct mail programs.
  • Maintain organized campaign project files and documentation in Point.
  • Develop and manage the direct mail budget, ensuring costs are within budget and processing invoices accurately.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of direct marketing experience with an emphasis in direct mail.
  • Professional knowledge of non-profit fundraising and marketing activities.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present information effectively.
  • Knowledge of fundraising operations and databases, with skills in using various software for analysis and reporting.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to handle confidential information and maintain donor confidence.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience using project management software and donor databases, preferably Blackbaud NXT and Wrike.
  • Tech-savvy individual with proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
