RapidScale offers a range of Managed Cloud services, including Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS), Hosted Exchange services, Unified Security Management services, and Microsoft Office 365 services. The Senior Manager, Direct Sales position is a critical role that reports to the Sr. Director of Direct Sales New Business. This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of sales for RapidScale services. The Senior Manager will lead a team of Cloud Solution Consultants (CSCs) who are tasked with developing and monetizing new market segments and communities beyond RapidScale's existing paths to market. This role is not only about capitalizing on current communities but also about identifying and developing new market opportunities. As a quota-bearing sales position, the Senior Manager will be accountable for achieving 100% of both quarterly and annual sales targets. Key responsibilities include meeting or exceeding sales targets, leading the Regional CSC Team, training newly tenured CSCs, collaborating with the Sr. Director of Sales to ensure the region outperforms company goals, actively recruiting and developing sales talent, onboarding new CSCs, and working with the marketing department to enhance RapidScale's brand within assigned communities. The Senior Manager will also provide feedback to management regarding products and services, develop scalable market strategies, and support the sales organization in front of prospects and end-user customers. This role requires travel as needed to build and nurture relationships with prospective customers and team members, with an expected travel requirement of 50%.

Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets (quotas)
  • Lead Regional CSC Team in pursuit of defined sales targets
  • Train newly tenured CSCs
  • Work closely with the Sr. Director of Sales to ensure entire Region is outperforming the company goals and objectives
  • Actively attract, recruit, manage, and develop sales talent
  • On-board new CSCs and steward them to achieve targets
  • Work with the marketing department to develop sales strategies to enhance RapidScale's reputation and emphasis brand within assigned communities
  • Provide feedback to management regarding RapidScale products, services, processes and procedures
  • Develop a consistent foundation that is scalable across a national footprint - market strategy, sales approach, community engagement planning and networking
  • Support sales organization in front of prospects and end user customers
  • Travel as required to build new, and nurture existing relationships with prospective customers and team members when required (50% travel)

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree with 8+ years of experience required in managed IT services; OR 12+ years of experience in managed IT services in lieu of a degree
  • 3+ years of management experience
  • Excellent communication, presentation, writing and editorial abilities
  • Proven track record of Top Performing sales success
  • Expertise in networking and professional relationship building
  • Technical knowledge of IT, Cloud, Managed Hosting, IaaS, DaaS, and DRaaS
  • Experience in 'sell-with' strategies and matrix management
