The Senior Manager, EAM Systems is responsible for overseeing and managing the implementation of the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) suite of systems at the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR). This role requires close collaboration with various LIRR operating departments, MTA headquarters, IT, and other agencies to ensure reliable and stable operations of the EAM systems. The Senior Manager will lead the design, development, management, and utilization of cross-functional EAM systems to meet the functional and technical needs of the business. This includes managing stakeholders and vendors to mitigate any EAM system-related issues and risks, ensuring the integrity of EAM systems, maintaining data quality, and managing program enhancements to meet the needs of LIRR's operating departments. In this position, the Senior Manager will develop detailed process flows to illustrate processing logic for business requirements, ensuring that the functionality of the application meets end-user needs. They will contribute to the development of test plans and participate in post-implementation reviews to confirm that requirements are met. The role also involves writing documentation that describes implementation and operating procedures to assist in user training and troubleshooting. The Senior Manager will coordinate with business users and IT to resolve systems issues and advance development projects, as well as conduct system tests when products are upgraded to ensure the integrity of existing functionality. Additionally, the Senior Manager will serve as a technical lead and project manager for EAM projects, reviewing, analyzing, and modifying systems, including encoding, testing, debugging, and installing for large-scale systems. They will act as a liaison between end users and IT, arranging for technical support and problem resolution. The role includes developing materials to support user training on new or revised systems/applications and ensuring that EAM systems are enhanced with location information in coordination with GIS teams. The Senior Manager will represent LIRR in working committees at the MTA and industry for all EAM-related efforts, champion change management, and develop strategic communication to manage stakeholder engagement. Furthermore, they will be responsible for developing and motivating personnel within the department, providing career development for subordinates, and ensuring a safe working environment while promoting safe work practices.
