About the position

This position is responsible for integrating Engineering Software functions into Enterprise Services Strategy and Transformation Initiatives at RTX Corporation. The role involves collaborating with suppliers and internal stakeholders to develop supplier capabilities and strategies that align with the company's technical, financial, and performance objectives. The ideal candidate will leverage their experience in engineering software technologies to manage contract negotiations and project management, ensuring cost savings and compliance throughout the procurement process.

Responsibilities

  • Build a strategy and lead negotiations for Engineering Software contracts to achieve favorable terms.
  • Review, draft, and revise contracts including software licenses and master agreements.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers to ensure adherence to terms and quality standards.
  • Develop and manage an integrated master schedule of engagements, renewals, and RFQs.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks in contracts, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
  • Maintain organized records of all contract negotiations and agreements.
  • Stay informed of industry trends and best practices in software contracting.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements in contract management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of Sourcing and Procurement Management experience, with at least 5 years in Digital.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • In-depth understanding of software licensing models for Engineering Software.
  • Strong background in negotiating software/SaaS contracts for cost savings.
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems efficiently.
  • Understanding of the end-to-end procurement process.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand financial information and develop strategies for performance improvement.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Suite of Products including Excel, Word, and Teams.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
