As an Sr. Manager, Executive Communications Strategist you will be responsible for crafting and implementing critical communication plans for executives within our organization. You will work closely with C-suite leaders and other key partners to develop messaging, speeches, presentations, and other materials that align with the company's goals, values, and brand identity. Your role will involve a combination of critical thinking, writing expertise, and relationship management to ensure effective communication both internally and externally.

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive communication strategies that support the objectives of executive leadership and the overall organization.
  • Craft clear, compelling, and consistent messages for senior leadership to deliver across various platforms and channels.
  • Create speeches, talking points, and presentations for executives, ensuring they are tailored to specific audiences and occasions.
  • Produce written content such as articles, op-eds, blog posts, and social media posts for executives to enhance their thought leadership and visibility.
  • Collaborate with the media relations team to coordinate interviews, prepare executives for media appearances, and craft key messages for press releases and statements.
  • Develop and maintain the personal brands of executives, ensuring alignment with the organization's brand and values.
  • Support internal communication efforts by drafting memos, newsletters, and other materials to keep employees informed and engaged.
  • Build and cultivate relationships with key partners, including executives, colleagues, media contacts, and external partners.
  • Assist in developing and implementing crisis communication plans, providing guidance and support to executives during challenging situations.
  • Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of communication strategies and tactics, making adjustments as needed to achieve desired outcomes.

Requirements

  • Proven Experience (10+ years) in corporate communications, executive communications, or a similar role.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail and the capability to tailor messages for different audiences.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to develop creative solutions to complex communication challenges.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with executives and cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with media relations practices and experience working with journalists and media outlets.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other communication tools/software.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and integrity, especially when dealing with sensitive or confidential information.
