About the position

This is a hybrid accounting position that requires the candidate to work two days in the office and three days from home. The ideal candidate must possess the ability to manage multiple projects effectively, delegate workload appropriately, and provide guidance to staff members. The role demands a strong background in accounting, particularly with experience in SEC filings and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance. The candidate will be responsible for monitoring SEC and IFRS accounting developments, researching and implementing new accounting and disclosure requirements, and performing ad hoc technical accounting research while participating in special projects. The position also requires proficiency in preparing external financial statements and disclosures, as well as compiling supporting documentation for quarterly earnings releases. Familiarity with general ledger systems and proficiency in software such as SAP, OneStream, and Workiva is essential. The candidate should have a solid understanding of XBRL electronic filing processes and experience drafting financial statement filings, including 10-Q/6K and 10-K/20-F. Preferred qualifications include experience in the life science industry, knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP, and Mandarin language skills. The candidate will be expected to stay updated on accounting developments and ensure compliance with relevant regulations, making this a critical role within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple accounting projects and ensure timely completion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • CPA certification
  • 6+ years of accounting experience
  • 5+ years of public accounting experience
  • Experience with SEC filings and SOX compliance
  • Knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP
  • Proficiency in preparing external financial statements and disclosures
  • Experience in compiling supporting documentation for quarterly earnings releases

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the life science industry
