About the position

The Senior Manager of Facility Engineering at Kaiser Permanente is responsible for leading the coordination of facility engineers to ensure effective preventative maintenance and repair services for facility equipment. This role involves managing complex repair requests, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and fostering team development and collaboration. The manager will also oversee vendor relationships and drive improvements in service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Lead coordination efforts of facility engineers for preventative maintenance and repairs of facility equipment.
  • Monitor and document scheduled preventative maintenance to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Establish processes to ensure facilities equipment passes safety checks and inspections.
  • Create developmental opportunities for team members and build collaborative relationships.
  • Manage designated units or teams by translating business plans into tactical action items.
  • Oversee installation and updates of facilities equipment and provide user training.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for preventative maintenance.
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise long-term equipment maintenance requests.
  • Promote a safe environment by driving safety tasks and participating in safety control programs.
  • Contribute to vendor relationship management and assess operational processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or technical disciplines in Plant Operations, HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, or related field.
  • Minimum seven (7) years of experience in Engineering, Plant Operations, HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, or a directly related field, or ten (10) years of relevant experience.
