About the position

The position involves leading the coordination efforts of facility engineers to ensure effective preventative maintenance and repair services for facility equipment. The role requires driving team responses to complex repair requests, monitoring compliance with regulatory requirements, and establishing processes to ensure safety checks and inspections are met. The individual will also manage vendor relationships and contribute to program-level goals for maintenance and repairs.

Responsibilities

  • Leads coordination efforts of facility engineers for preventative maintenance and repairs of facility equipment.
  • Drives team responses to complex, long-term repair requests.
  • Monitors and documents scheduled preventative maintenance to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Establishes processes to ensure facilities equipment passes safety checks and inspections.
  • Contributes to program-level goals for maintenance and repairs performed.
  • Manages vendor relationships to identify improvements for services out of scope for Facility Engineering team.
  • Creates and advocates for developmental opportunities for team members.
  • Solicits and acts on performance feedback to drive improvement.
  • Hires, trains, and develops talent for growth opportunities.
  • Oversees implementation of organizational changes and best practices.
  • Fosters open dialogue and collaboration within teams.
  • Delegates tasks and decisions appropriately and provides guidance.
  • Translates business plans into tactical action items for designated units or teams.
  • Aligns team efforts and builds accountability for achieving results.
  • Communicates goals and objectives, incorporating resources and forecasts into plans.
  • Removes obstacles impacting performance and identifies improvement opportunities.
  • Oversees installation and updates of facilities equipment and provides user training.
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements for preventative maintenance.
  • Plans and coordinates long-term equipment maintenance and repairs.
  • Promotes a safe environment by driving safety tasks and participating in safety control programs.
  • Contributes to vendor relationship management and performance analytics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or technical disciplines in Plant Operations, HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, or related field.
  • Minimum seven (7) years of experience in Engineering, Plant Operations, HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, or a directly related field, or ten (10) years of relevant experience.
