The Senior Manager of Finance (Reporting Analysis Controls) is a pivotal leadership role within the Prepared Foods Business Unit, overseeing financial operations across 35 manufacturing facilities. This position reports directly to the Senior Director of Finance and plays a crucial role in supporting both the Vice President of Supply Chain Finance and the Manufacturing Operations Leadership Team. The primary focus of this role is to drive strategic initiatives and ensure effective conversion cost control, which is essential for the business's financial health and operational efficiency. In this role, the Senior Manager will be responsible for directing business and functional activities that provide essential products, resources, and services to support company operations. A key aspect of the position involves leading process improvements in planning, analysis, reporting, and monitoring of both financial and non-financial measures. The manager will leverage information technology to automate, streamline, and integrate processes, enhancing overall efficiency and effectiveness. Collaboration is vital, as the Senior Manager will work cross-functionally throughout the organization, bringing a financial perspective to decision-making processes that advance growth and return on investment. The role also includes directing staff through subordinate management, assigning objectives, and evaluating results, while aiding in the development of optimal organizational design and advancement plans for broader staff. The Senior Manager will ensure that plans are developed and budgets are in place to provide adequate staffing and resources necessary to execute the company's strategy. Participation in and potentially leading aspects of the weekly and monthly close processes is expected, which includes reconciling internal accounts, comparing actual results to the latest financial outlook, and reviewing the accuracy of financial information. Additionally, the role involves developing various analyses, reports, and presentations, performing ad hoc financial forecasting, analysis, and modeling, and providing special project support as needed. The Senior Manager will also participate in strategic planning and the budget process, leading the financial portion of these initiatives and analyses. Developing financial models to support business decisions, such as network expansion or consolidation and assessing the impact of productivity on conversion costs, is also a critical responsibility. The position requires proficiency in multiple systems for information retrieval and analyses, including SAP, SAP BPC, and Business Objects. The Senior Manager will prepare reports and presentations summarizing business activities and providing strategic direction while monitoring the internal control environment to identify gaps and support the development of approaches to mitigate exposure. Other support may be required from various business functions as needed.
