About the position

The Senior Manager, Finance at AbbVie is responsible for leading financial planning and analysis processes within the Operations Quality and EHS function. This role involves providing financial guidance, preparing management analysis, supporting strategic business decisions, and leading initiatives to enhance financial processes. The position requires interaction with various levels of management and the delivery of planning deliverables to meet corporate requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee/manage all aspects of monthly, quarterly and annual Plan, LRP and LBEs, including P&L, headcount, balance sheet and capital using planning system.
• Provide relevant variance analysis for each planning cycle and develop meaningful management reporting schedules.
• Support Accounting Shared Service monthly close process to ensure complete, accurate and timely monthly actual results, including variance analysis and commentary.
• Collaborate and provide routine business support to enable informed decision-making.
• Provide financial reviews and approvals for purchase order requests and invoices.
• Support key projects and initiatives and drive process improvements.
• Develop and manage staff to ensure production of high quality and timely work product.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA or MBA is a plus.
• 7+ years of progressive finance or accounting experience.
• Ability to solve business problems through proactive identification of issues and data analysis.
• Self-starter with the ability to operate independently and drive processes.
• Strong communication skills with all levels of management.
• Proficient Excel skills; knowledge of SAP and BPC is a plus.
• Previous supervisory experience is desired.
