About the position

The Senior Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis at Abbott is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing financial planning and analysis for the Global Nutrition division. This position involves managing the budgeting and reporting processes, preparing executive-level presentations, and ensuring the accuracy of financial submissions. The role requires collaboration with various departments and direct management of a small team, contributing to strategic financial decisions and operational improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the RLBE/Plan processes from a headquarters perspective, including setting deadlines and ensuring financial accuracy of submissions.
  • Prepare executive level LBE and Plan presentations for the Division Controller.
  • Support ad-hoc FP&A activities for Abbott Nutrition Senior Leadership.
  • Manage ANHQ budgeting and reporting, including forecasting and month-end close.
  • Ensure accuracy of monthly financials reported to Corporate and coordinate commentary as needed.
  • Prepare senior management highlights and assess/implement process improvements.
  • Partner with Leadership and finance colleagues to learn the business and apply this knowledge to daily work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA, CMA, or MBA recommended.
  • 10-12 years of progressive Finance/Accounting experience.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate business implications of forecasts and actual results.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting and finance principles.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including influencing others and directing the efforts of analysts.
  • Excellent communication skills to interface with multiple levels within the organization.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and changing customer demands under tight timelines.

Nice-to-haves

  • Working knowledge of HFM and SAP (Symphony) is preferred.
