About the position

The Senior Manager for Conduct Operations and Communications at the University of Michigan is responsible for overseeing the implementation and administration of university-wide policies and procedures related to community accountability. This role involves managing multiple complex projects, collaborating with various stakeholders, and ensuring effective communication and reporting on conduct processes. The position requires strong project management skills, analytical capabilities, and the ability to handle sensitive information while supporting the university's mission of promoting a safe and scholarly community.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the implementation and administration of University-wide policies and procedures related to community accountability procedures.
  • Oversee multiple complex projects that support divisional and institutional priorities.
  • Assemble and manage project teams, assigning tasks and identifying needed resources.
  • Develop project schedules and ensure adherence to deadlines and constraints.
  • Provide analytical guidance to the Director based on available data and research.
  • Monitor project progress and address any issues that arise, providing regular updates to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key campus units and external partners.
  • Manage highly sensitive, FERPA protected information and ensure proper adherence to risk management concerns.
  • Provide project recommendations based on confidential and complex data.
  • Assist in the development of presentations and reports regarding conduct and accountability needs.

Requirements

  • Graduate degree in higher education, law, or related field of study.
  • 5+ years of progressively responsible student affairs related experience.
  • Proficient in project management tools, processes, and best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing and interpreting data.
  • Experience working in a large non-profit or academic institution.
