About the position

The Senior Manager in Fund Accounting and Financial Administration Oversight at Macquarie Asset Management plays a crucial role in overseeing the Fund Administration operations and accounting for mutual funds and ETFs. This position involves managing outsourced accounting functions, reviewing Fund NAVs, preparing quarterly reports for board meetings, and maintaining productive relationships with external parties. The role also includes leading a team, setting performance standards, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Fund Administration operations and accounting functions for mutual funds and ETFs.
• Review daily, monthly, and quarterly administrator reports.
• Manage annual mutual fund audits and certifications.
• Prepare quarterly reporting for mutual fund board meetings.
• Facilitate relationships with external parties including Fund Administration, Fund Custodians, Trustees, and vendors.
• Lead and direct team members, setting performance standards and service levels.
• Maintain records and resolve issues in a timely manner.

Requirements

• 7+ years of relevant work experience in financial services with a background in public accounting and/or public company financial reporting and operations.
• Knowledge of registered investment company operations, accounting, regulatory and compliance issues.
• Advanced understanding of US GAAP financial statements.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, and accounting applications.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or MBA strongly preferred.
• Prior experience in a supervisory role preferred.
