About the position

The Senior Manager for Global Advanced Manufacturing Engineering at Vertiv will lead the development and implementation of the global manufacturing strategy and technology. This role is crucial in driving operational excellence and ensuring alignment with key stakeholders while being a core member of the New Product Development Introduction (NPDI) and Global Operations team. The individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance time to market, assess manufacturing technologies, and plan capacity to support business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Global Manufacturing Strategy & Technology.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams globally to meet time to market requirements.
  • Lead industrial transformation & supply chain readiness activities.
  • Interpret customer voice and translate requirements into defined process areas.
  • Develop & implement Global Operational Strategy aligned with Vertiv Key Initiatives.
  • Lead NPDI/ETO-C/Design Transfer/Strategic Initiative projects.
  • Ensure appropriate resources & priorities are aligned with Global Roadmaps & Key Strategic Projects.
  • Drive and coordinate manufacturing requirements of new products from concept to release.
  • Direct all stages of prototype builds and pilot runs.
  • Communicate project requirements, actions, and status with other departments.
  • Track and publish NPI Deliverables using defined tools and databases.
  • Specify Capex investment requirements for new offers.
  • Oversee new offer product Automatic tester development and component qualification.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering/Technology or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 15+ years of experience in a heavy industrial/integrated solutions manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Effective process and organization skills, ability to manage multiple key initiatives.
  • Complex project management skills/toolset.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with executive level and key stakeholders.
  • Experience in new product development (PMP) process.
  • Modular or pre-fabricated engineering/design expertise.
  • Strong DFM experience/knowledge.
  • Experience in SC&M management and architecture build.
  • New manufacturing production line setup experience.
  • PCBA manufacturing process knowledge.
  • FMEA and Control Plan experience.
  • Lean manufacturing expertise.
  • Parts commodity management experience.
  • Product cost management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
  • Problem-solving tools experience (e.g., FMEA, DOE, Quality Tools).
  • 6 Sigma certification (Green Belt and Black Belt training).
  • Excellent cross-cultural communication and leadership experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced manufacturing training/experience (e.g., Lean, Six-Sigma).
  • Experience with supply chain mapping and optimization.
