About the position

The Senior Manager of Global Marketing for Laura Mercier is a pivotal role within Orveon, responsible for shaping the category strategy and developing a comprehensive three-year innovation plan for the Color and Bath and Body categories. This position requires close collaboration with the Executive Director of Global Marketing and involves leading the innovation process for new product launches, ensuring that all marketing efforts align with the brand's long-term goals. The Senior Manager will drive cross-functional collaboration with various teams, including Product Development, Creative, Digital, Merchandising, Education, and Communication, to ensure successful execution of marketing strategies. In this role, the Senior Manager will co-lead the development of the innovation calendar, gaining buy-in from key stakeholders across regions such as APAC and the UK. They will support the Executive Director in the gate approval process for innovation and go-to-market plans, ensuring alignment with the brand strategy and growth targets. The position also involves partnering with US and International teams on local assortments, forecasting, pricing recommendations, and go-to-market strategies, emphasizing a digital-first approach to launch plans. The Senior Manager will leverage consumer research and CRM data to drive insights and identify opportunities for future innovation. They will oversee the project management process for innovation, ensuring that launches are delivered on time and with excellence. Additionally, the role includes managing the artwork process in collaboration with packaging designers and internal creative teams, as well as developing key presentations for executive meetings and market events. The Senior Manager will also be responsible for developing briefs for creative campaigns and managing a marketing coordinator, ensuring consistent messaging across all internal documents.

Responsibilities

  • Co-lead the development of the innovation calendar with product development and gain buy-in from education, US Marketing, and key regions (APAC, UK).
  • Support the Executive Director in the gate approval process for innovation and go-to-market plans.
  • Partner with US and International teams on local assortments, forecasting, line edits, pricing recommendations, and go-to-market strategy.
  • Drive a digital-first approach to launch plans in partnership with cross-functional teams (PR, Social, Influencer, CRM, Ecomm, Paid Media).
  • Develop ongoing support strategy for core franchises to defend and grow market share for color and skincare.
  • Leverage consumer research, CRM data, and industry reports to drive consumer insights and identify white space opportunities for future innovation.
  • Support the Executive Director in developing programs and initiatives that elevate the brand experience while ensuring global image, standards, and direction are upheld.
  • Lead project management process cross-functionally for innovation to deliver launches on time and with excellence.
  • Oversee the artwork process in conjunction with packaging designer and internal creative team.
  • Support the development of key presentations for Executive Meetings, Market Week, and In the Kitchen.
  • Ensure consistent messaging across all internal documents (bulletins, marketing decks, retailer presentations, etc.).
  • Develop the brief for creative development (campaigns, 360 briefs, VM, etc.).
  • Manage and develop marketing coordinator.

Requirements

  • College degree with 7+ years of work experience in marketing.
  • Experience in a global beauty role, preferably in prestige cosmetics.
  • Experience working with Sephora, Ulta, or other retailers is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence.
  • Experience managing others.
  • Ability to influence in a matrix organization and across cultures.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to structure presentations.
  • Strong project management skills with a structured approach and respect for timelines.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently and reliably.
  • Proactive and self-sufficient working style, able to manage up, down, and across teams.

  • Strong oral, written, communication, and presentation skills.
