About the position

The Senior Manager, Global Marketing at Orveon is a pivotal role responsible for leading all promotional innovation and core support initiatives across the Orveon portfolio, which includes renowned brands such as bareMinerals, BUXOM, and Laura Mercier. This position is integral to the brand strategy, working closely with the Vice-President of Global Marketing to enhance long-term brand equity, maximize growth potential, and ensure sustained profitability. The role requires a strategic mindset to develop a comprehensive three-year promotional strategy that leverages the unique characteristics of each brand, ensuring a differentiated approach that builds brand equity. In this role, the Senior Manager will analyze the brand's business performance, collaborating with cross-functional and regional teams to create a global assortment that aligns with the needs of key stakeholders. This includes providing brand and competitive insights to support strategic recommendations and incorporating artistry considerations into product development and positioning. The Senior Manager will also be responsible for developing local programs that align with business objectives and net sales targets, ensuring that all initiatives are executed with speed and efficiency. Program execution is a critical aspect of this role, requiring collaboration with various departments such as NPD, Product Development, Procurement, and Packaging Design to deliver best-in-class programs on time. The Senior Manager will gather necessary content for launch strategy decks, analyze product costs to ensure profitability, and partner with creative teams to develop key launch materials with a digital-first mindset. Additionally, the role involves leading global 360 planning with digital, social, influencer, and PR teams, as well as managing the development of briefs for product development and packaging. The Senior Manager will also support the execution of the sampling strategy and develop preliminary forecasts for all programs, working closely with regional teams to finalize these forecasts. Ensuring high standards of execution and consistency across all consumer-facing materials is essential, as is maintaining strong communication with key stakeholders across various functions and regions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a 3-year promotional strategy for the Orveon brands leveraging the unique DNA of each brand.
  • Analyze the brand's business with input from cross functional and regional teams to develop a global assortment.
  • Provide brand and competitive insights to support recommendations.
  • Include Artistry considerations in the development of products and positioning where appropriate.
  • Develop local programs based on business objectives and Net Sales targets.
  • Manage projects in collaboration with NPD, Product Development, Procurement, and Packaging Design.
  • Gather necessary content for launch strategy decks detailing all aspects of the launch.
  • Analyze and manage product COGs to ensure favorable profitability to the brand.
  • Provide brand and competitive insights supporting pricing alignment.
  • Partner with Creative to develop key launch materials with a digital first mindset.
  • Lead global 360 planning with digital, social, influencer, brand.com, US Marketing and PR teams.
  • Lead development of briefs for product development, packaging, and visual merchandising.
  • Support the execution of the sampling strategy in partnership with operational marketing.
  • Develop preliminary forecasts and guidance for all programs and work with regions for consensus on final forecasting.
  • Review global forecasts in partnership with Operational Marketing and Operational teams.
  • Work with packaging design team and regions on local development of promotional items within Global Guidelines.
  • Ensure high standard of execution and consistency of message across all consumer facing material and internal documents.

Requirements

  • College degree in marketing or business-related field.
  • 7+ years of work experience in marketing, preferably in a global beauty role.
  • Experience in prestige promotions, makeup or skincare, or a US Promotions role with heavy local development.
  • Experience working with retailers is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence.
  • Experience managing others.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to generate on-brand ideas and contribute to new product ideas.
  • Strong sense of the digital and social media landscape.
  • Ability to influence in a matrix organization and across cultures.
